Volleyball Hawke's Bay

​​​​​​​Volleyball Hawke's Bay is a regional non-profit sports organisation responsible for the development of volleyball competitions in Hawke’s Bay.

Our region encompasses Central Hawke’s Bay, Hastings, Havelock North, Napier, Wairoa and Gisborne; all situated on the east coast of the North Island in New Zealand.

Volleyball Hawke's Bay is affiliated to our National Organisation - Volleyball New Zealand and abides by the VNZ Rules and By Laws

Organisational Structure

International Governance: Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB)

National Governance: Volleyball New Zealand (VNZ)

Regional Governance: Volleyball Hawkes Bay Board (VHB)​​​​​​​

Volleyball Hawkes Bay Inc Association is the governing body, and Regional Sporting Organisation for all Volleyball within the Hawkes Bay and Poverty Bay Regions, and we are one of the fourteen associations located around the country.

A non-profit organisation that run many indoor programmes from the  Rodney Green Arena Hawkes Bay, Hastings Sports Centre, and Centennial Event Centre, and other locations within our region, and soon to be Beach Volleyball from their new beach courts that are under proposal for build. Located in the centre of Hawkes Bay. 

We aim to develop, promote, coordinate and facilitate the entire Hawkes Bay and Poverty Bay volleyball sporting region, with the help of trained deliverers, contractors and volunteer coaches/managers.

We believe that volleyball is for everyone of all ages, and all cultures.  All can participate and have fun, in a safe family orientated environment.

We run school-based and community delivery and events, Competitive and Social Competitions for all age groups, Volleyfest events, Tamariki and Rangatahi Sports Days as well as a representative level programme for the junior and senior age groups. Programs and pathways that supports local and volunteer coaches and referees to develop their skills and offer next-level opportunities.
